Barry HochfieldNon-Executive Chairman

Barry studied Applied Physics at Strathclyde in the early 70’s. He then pursued a career in IT and has accumulated over 30 years of experience in computer technology and business management.

He was with Apple for 11 years, where he worked on the original Macintosh CPU family in California and founded Apple’s first off shore R&D unit in Paris, France.  Having functioned in organisations large, medium and small, he co-founded the smartcard company Ecebs, in 2000, floated on the LSE in 2005, then sold to theTrainline.com in 2007.

Since then he has been involved as an Enterprise Partner with the University of Strathclyde and serves as Non-Executive Director / Chairman for several innovative technology companies.
